Choose a Village. Change Everything.
In rural Malawi, families have been forced to collect unsafe water from open pits shared with livestock. Your donation funds a complete freshwater well for a specific village, drilled, installed, and cared for locally, at a fraction of typical project cost. Each well can provide safe water for thousands of people in that village for decades, with an expected service life of about 75 years. Choose an available village below to get started (more villages coming soon, so check back!).

Luwerezi Village Well Project
Amazing ... again! Luwerezi Village has been successfully funded thanks to 10 generous donors! This was our second of two villages fully funded on January 29, 2026! We will have more updates once the construction process and blessing are complete. Luwerezi Village has a rural clinic and maternity wing, but no access to clean water. The 870 residents must collect water from shallow, open muddy pits that are nothing more than puddles shared with livestock. These unprotected water sources are little more than murky brown pools along dirt paths where families must kneel to scoop contaminated water into buckets and containers. The water is visibly dirty and unsafe for drinking. This area is prone to cholera and other waterborne diseases, presenting severe health risks to the entire community—including patients seeking medical care and mothers giving birth at the clinic. Please watch the videos. This is the water that pregnant mothers and in some cases newborns must drink.Regular price $1.00 USDRegular priceUnit price perSale price $1.00 USDGoal: Loading...Raised: Loading...Progress: Loading... -
Zebediya Village Well Project
Amazing! Zebediya Village has been successfully funded thanks to 3 generous donors! This was our first of two villages fully funded on January 29, 2026! We will have more updates once the construction process and blessing are complete. The 679 residents of Zebediya Village have no choice but to collect water from a shallow, muddy pond shared with livestock. This small water source is little more than liquid mud, yet it remains the only option for drinking, cooking, and daily use. This area is prone to cholera and other waterborne diseases, presenting severe health risks to the entire community. A properly constructed borehole in Zebediya Village will serve nearly 680 people and provide clean, safe drinking water to replace this dangerous contaminated source, dramatically improving the overall health and well-being of residents.Regular price $1.00 USDRegular priceUnit price perSale price $1.00 USDGoal: Loading...Raised: Loading...Progress: Loading... -
Msambanyifwa Village Well Project
Msambanyifwa Village has been successfully funded thanks to 14 generous donors! Drilling was completed on January 29th at 66 meters and the water flow was amazing (see the video). We will have more updates once the construction process and blessing are complete. In Msambanyifwa Village, 875 residents face a life-threatening daily ordeal just to access water. Villagers, including learners and teachers at the primary school, must climb down into a 15-foot (5-meter) deep pit to collect water. Residents descend steep, unstable earthen walls to reach the murky, contaminated water pooled at the bottom. This area is prone to cholera and other waterborne diseases, putting the entire community at constant health risk. A properly constructed borehole in Msambanyifwa Village will serve over 875 people and eliminate this dangerous daily ordeal, providing clean, safe drinking water to dramatically improve the overall health and well-being of residents.Regular price $1.00 USDRegular priceUnit price perSale price $1.00 USDGoal: Loading...Raised: Loading...Progress: Loading... -
Mchilawengo Village Well Project
The Mchilawengo Village Well Project has been successfully completed. The project was fully funded on December 31, 2025, and the well was drilled just 18 days later on Sunday, January 18, 2026. The drilling process continued well into the night, with the team working under lights to complete the installation. The drilling operation showed signs of a very good reserve of water, ensuring abundant clean water for the community year-round. The pump blessing and official handover took place on Monday, January 27, 2026, with Father Petros presiding over the ceremony. Approximately 500 people attended the beautiful and colorful celebration, including ~365 school children, 5 traditional chiefs, the Ward Councillor (local politician), school committee members, teachers' staff, and representatives from the Church. This is the first time Mchilawengo Village has ever had access to fresh, clean water. More than 670 people now have access to clean, safe drinking water. A local water committee will be established for maintenance and management of the well. With proper care, it should serve the community for approximately 75 years.Regular price $1.00 USDRegular priceUnit price perSale price $1.00 USDGoal: Loading...Raised: Loading...Progress: Loading... -
Phembe Village Well Project
The Phembe Village Well Project has been successfully completed. The project was fully funded on December 16, 2025, thanks to the extraordinary generosity of a single donor, Mrs. Reatha W. Drilling was completed on January 9, 2026, and the drilling, concrete pad, and pump installation were all finished in just three days. The concrete pad features a unique two-level round design that both looks great and functions excellently. The water is exceptionally clear for a newly drilled well. The pump blessing and official handover to the village took place on Friday, January 23, 2026, with Father Petros presiding over the ceremony. This is the first time Phembe Village has ever had access to fresh, clean water. More than 758 people now have access to clean, safe drinking water. A local water committee will be established for maintenance and management of the well. With proper care, it should serve the community for approximately 75 years.Regular price $1.00 USDRegular priceUnit price perSale price $1.00 USDGoal: Loading...Raised: Loading...Progress: Loading... -
Msese Village Well Project
Msese Village was successfully funded on December 8, 2025. Drilling began on December 23, 2025, but the team encountered unexpected challenges when they discovered significant mud deposits underground (see the first video). After completing the initial drilling, the crew planned to return one week later to thoroughly clean the borehole and ensure optimal water quality. However, on December 29, 2025, severe flooding struck Malawi when a torrential downpour lasting several days devastated the region. The flooding destroyed a key bridge on Main Road 1 that connects Msese to the capital Lilongwe, leaving the drilling team's vehicles stranded in Lilongwe and unable to reach the village to complete the project. Father Petros is working with the boring company now to get the cleanout completed and the well constructed. We will have more updates once the borehole cleaning and construction process are complete.Regular price $1.00 USDRegular priceUnit price perSale price $1.00 USDGoal: Loading...Raised: Loading...Progress: Loading... -
Kajombo Village Well Project
Kajombo Village has been successfully completed! With drilling completed on December 22, 2025, the village had access to clean water in time for Christmas Day, the first Christmas that Kajombo Village has ever had fresh, clean water. The formal pump blessing was delayed due to severe flooding in Malawi; Main Road 1, which connects Father Petros' parish to Lilongwe, was cut off at the Mpasazi Bridge in Kasungu District. The blessing ultimately took place on a rainy Monday, January 5, 2026, with Father Petros presiding over the ceremony! Previously, water scarcity in Kajombo Village has reached a critical and dangerous level. Residents are forced to walk 2 kilometers to fetch water from a shallow, hand-dug well that is shared by both people and livestock. This open water source produces murky, contaminated water that poses severe health risks to the entire community. A properly constructed borehole in Kajombo Village will serve more than 550 people, including students and staff at the nearby primary school. This well will provide clean, safe drinking water to replace the current dangerous water source, dramatically improving the overall health and well-being of residentsRegular price $1.00 USDRegular priceUnit price perSale price $1.00 USDGoal: Loading...Raised: Loading...Progress: Loading... -
Khorwa Village Well Project
The Khorwa Village Well Project has been successfully completed. The project was fully funded on December 2, 2025, and drilling was completed on December 21st. The drilling and concrete pad installation were finished in just three days, an exceptionally fast turnaround for a rural installation. The pump blessing took place on Christmas Day, making this the first Christmas that Khorwa Village has ever had access to fresh, clean water. Because the blessing occurred just four days after drilling, the water may appear slightly cloudy in larger containers—this is completely normal for a new well. The drilling process disturbs fine sediments in the earth, and with regular daily pumping, these particles flush out naturally. Within a few weeks of use, the water will run crystal clear. More than 600 people in Khorwa Village now have access to clean, safe drinking water. A local water committee has been established for maintenance and management of the well. With proper care, it should serve the community for approximately 75 years.Regular price $1.00 USDRegular priceUnit price perSale price $1.00 USDGoal: Loading...Raised: Loading...Progress: Loading... -
Emvuyane Village Well Project
The Emvuyane Village Well Project has been successfully completed. The project was fully funded on October 31, 2025, and drilling was completed in just three days, an exceptionally fast turnaround for a rural installation. The drilling operation achieved a high water yield, ensuring abundant clean water for the community. The concrete pad and pump installation are complete and the well is now operational. More than 700 people in Emvuyane Village now have access to clean, safe drinking water. The official handover of the well to the community occurred during a Catholic Mass. A local water committee will be established for maintenance and management of the well. With proper care, it should serve the community for approximately 75 years.Regular price $1.00 USDRegular priceUnit price perSale price $1.00 USDGoal: Loading...Raised: Loading...Progress: Loading... -
Kabiza Village Well Project
The Kabiza Village Well Project has been successfully completed. The project was fully funded on October 5, 2025, and drilling was completed in just one day, an exceptionally fast turnaround for a rural installation. The drilling operation achieved a very high water yield, ensuring abundant clean water for the community. More than 700 people in Kabiza Village now have access to clean, safe drinking water. The official handover of the well to the community occurred during a Catholic Mass on November 10th 2025. A local water committee will be established for maintenance and management of the well. With proper care, it should serve the community for approximately 75 years.Regular price $1.00 USDRegular priceUnit price perSale price $1.00 USDGoal: Loading...Raised: Loading...Progress: Loading... -
Chivinya Village Well Project
Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of a single donor couple, Kathy and Steve B., Chivinya now has a deep, cased borehole and hand pump delivering safe, clear water for drinking, cooking, washing, and basic hygiene. Water was struck and the borehole was drilled, cased, and completed in just one day, which is an unusually fast turnaround for a rural installation. The community no longer depends on open hand-dug holes in the ground, no longer shares water sources with livestock, and no longer has to collect visibly contaminated water for their children. Clean water is available in the village every day, for everyone. A community-led maintenance group has been established to monitor the pump, handle repairs, and ensure that this well remains reliable not just this season, but year after year, with an expected service life of approximately 75 years.Regular price $1.00 USDRegular priceUnit price perSale price $1.00 USDGoal: Loading...Raised: Loading...Progress: Loading... -
Chizani Village Well Project
This well project was fully funded on September 20th, 2025, and the well was drilled and installed in just a single long day. The drilling operation struck water at just 30 meters and continued to a full 60 meters to ensure a prolonged lifespan. The boring crew also worked into the night to complete the well and insure proper functioning. This is quite remarkable as the entire drilling and pump installation process was completed in just one day. The well is now operational and serving the community.Regular price $1.00 USDRegular priceUnit price perSale price $1.00 USDGoal: Loading...Raised: Loading...Progress: Loading...

The Water of Mercy Difference
Why Your Generosity Goes Further and Creates Lasting Change
Maximum Efficiency, Proven Results
Our local partnerships allow us to drill complete wells for approximately half of what other water charities require. With 100% volunteer staff, we operate with minimal overhead. Our first well in Yotamu Village proved what's possible: for just $5,000, we delivered clean water to 400 people in 14 days. Recent wells in Chizani, Chivinya, Kabiza, Emvuyane, Khorwa, and Kajombo villages were completed in about 3 days from drilling to flowing water. Communities begin benefiting within days, not months, with wells serving them for approximately 75 years.
One Well, 75 Years, Hundreds of Families
When you fund a well that serves a village of hundreds today, you're not just helping one generation. You're transforming lives for approximately 75 years. Think about it: the babies born on the day your well is completed will grow up, raise their own children, and live to see their grandchildren, maybe even great-grandchildren, drawing clean water from that same well. Over three generations, hundreds of families—and the generations they raise—will be served by your single gift. The well you fund in 2025 will still be providing safe water in 2100, creating a permanent solution to water poverty and a legacy that continues blessing the community long into the future.
Focus on Rural Malawi
Malawi is one of the world's most underserved nations for clean water infrastructure—and that's exactly why we focus here. This landlocked nation of 22 million ranks among the world's least developed countries, with 71% living in poverty and per capita income of just $622. Millions still walk kilometers daily for contaminated water from shallow wells shared with livestock. By concentrating our efforts in rural Malawi, we make the greatest impact where need is most acute.
Watch Your Impact in Real-Time
We don't just ask for donations—we connect you directly with the communities you're helping. You choose your specific village from detailed profiles complete with images, population data, and current water conditions. Then you can track real-time funding progress, follow construction through photos and videos, and witness the moment clean water flows in the village for the first time. This personal approach ensures you see exactly how your generosity creates lasting transformation, village by village.
